He was predeceased by: his father James William Bowman. He is survived by: his wife Debra Lynn Dellinger Bowman; his brother Daniel Bowman (Christine); and his pets, Elin, Radi and Bogey. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carolina Caring at 3975 Robinson Road and or to the Catawba Baptist Church at 102 1st St SW Catawba NC 28609.
