It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Iris Calloway Spencer of Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on March 4, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Landrum Calloway and Myrtle Whistant Calloway; and her brother-in-law Johnny Stevens. She is survived by: her husband Clifford E. Spencer; her children, Steve Spencer (Tina) of Newton, Denise Link of Newton and Karen Myatt of Newton; her siblings, Kenneth Calloway of Newton, Connie Stevens of Hickory, Doris Calloway of Conover and Faye Fox (Tommy) of Claremont; her grandchildren, Melissa Myers (Alex), Ryan Johnson, Zac Johnson, Josh Spencer (Chelsea) and Richard Henson; and her great grandchildren, Katelyn Shadowens, Madison Kiker, Owen Myers, Rosabell Spencer, Israel Spencer, Holden Henson, Kenadie Henson and Iris.
