She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Herman and Ina Criddle Bost; her husband Evans Alfred Propst; the father of her children Paul Eugene Cansler; her son-in-law Anthony R. DiNapoli; and her siblings, Charles, Phillip, Ralph, Dewey Bost, Jeannette B. Coulter, Margaret B. Lutz and Ruth B. Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Beverly Cansler Finney (Michael) of Hickory, Catherine "Kitty" Cansler DiNapoli of Holly Springs, NC and Craig Paul Cansler of Newton; her grandchildren, April L. Hawkins of Hickory, Monica D. Maday (Luther) of Atlanta, GA and Vincent A. DiNapoli (Ciara) of Winterville, NC; her great grandchildren, Madelynn, Sean Maday, Christian, Laila and Maia DiNapoli; her stepchildren, Jean Propst (late David) of Sherrills Ford, Gail P. McRee (Norris) of Newton, Betty P. McGee (late Mervin) of Newton and Cheryl P. Canipe (Sonny) of Newton; and her son Ricky.

She missed that contact when the COVID virus kept her home but continued to spread joy and laughter when and where she could.
