He is survived by: his son Jerry Dwayne Stanford (Michelle) of Washington, NC; his wife Elizabeth Hamm Stanford; his grandchildren, Chess Benjamin (Jeremiah) of Hildebrand, NC and Calliope Stanford of Washington, NC.; and his siblings, Gary Beck (Sandra), Bobby Stanford, Loretta Brannon (Melvin), Linda Ervin and Helen Sowell (Freddie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
