Gary Hall Sims Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary Hall Sims of Newton, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on April 24, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Hall and Ethel Marie Winstead Sims; his daughters, Lori Sims Chapman and Billie Sue Sims; and his grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Mingus and Aaron Frye Mingus.

He is survived by: his wife Geneva Korn Sims; his son Dewey Hall Sims (Dea); and his grandchildren, Kelsey, Kadie, Lee and Stacey. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairview Baptist Church in Gary's name.
