We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2020, at the age of 42, Gary Brent Goforth of Newton, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary Fred Goforth and Kathy Fender Morrell of Elizabethton, TN.; his adoptive father James Monroe Goforth; his niece Heather Nichole Goforth; and his adoptive mother Gertrude Ballew Goforth of Newton Biological.

He is survived by: his siblings, James C. Goforth (Tammy) of Hickory and Kathy Leatherman (Gary); and his nieces and nephews, Kandra Leatherman, Cole Leatherman, Jordan Wilson, Jamie Goforth, Jennifer Goforth, Aspen Ola-Nicole Parker, Riley Leatherman, Cooper Johnson, Michael Wilson III and Grant Wilson.

Memorials may be made to Mt Olive Lutheran Church, 2103 Mt. Olive Church Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
