He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd C Satterwhite and Hessie Landis Satterwhite; his former wife Sarah Satterwhite; his wife Mary Satterwhite; his siblings, Carl, Jones Satterwhite, Ruby Satterwhite and Ruth Satterwhite Causey; his nephews, Carl M Satterwhite Jr., Henry Gilbert Harris and Jerry W. Satterwhite; and his great-niece Kelly Satterwhite Harrington.
He is survived by: his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jennifer Satterwhite, Johanna Warden, Bryan Satterwhite (Monika), Carson Satterwhite, Karly Satterwhite and Joseph Satterwhite; and his nephews, Mac Harris (Barbie), Jere Harris (Donna), Meade Harris (Susan) and Paul Smith (Bunny). He is also survived by numerous other great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Main Street Methodist Church Salisbury, NC; St. Peter's Church Restoration Fund of New Kent County, VA; or Catawba College of Salisbury, NC.
