She is survived by: the father of her children James Willard Powell Jr.; her children, Julia Sellers of Newton, Lorrie Ann Cassell of Newton and James Willard Powell III of Newton; and her siblings, Patsy Doyle of Marion, Suzie Pruitt of Hillsville, Virginia and Denny Pruitt of Piney Creek. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
