It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emden Lee Syres Jr. (Newton, North Carolina), born in Princeton, West Virginia, who passed away on May 29, 2019, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandmothers, Mary Thomas and Doretta Syres. He is survived by: his parents, Emden "Pete" and Brenda Thomas Syres of Princeton; his sisters, Sherri Sanbeck (Richard) of Lenoir, NC and Karen Wheby (John) of Princeton; and his significant other Eddie Lusk of Hickory, NC.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his close friend.
