We bid farewell to Dewey Eugene Herman (Newton, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 26, 2025 at the age of 88. Dewey Eugene touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Osborn Criddle Herman and Londa Maybell Hefner Herman; his wife Helen Ruth Herman; and his siblings, Rich Herman and Helen Cochrane.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff Herman (Julie) of Claremont and Angie Abernathy of Claremont; his grandchildren, Matthew Abernathy (Emily), Ashley Abernathy, Tiffany Dieso Blake (Chris) and TJ Mace; and his great grandchildren, Finley, Emilia Abernathy, Landon, Sophia Dieso, Luke Herman and Kannon Mace.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church (4420 County Home Rd, Conover, NC 28613). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
