He was predeceased by: his parents, Peverlee Carlton Hefner and Rose Dean Propst Hefner; and his brother Jerry Hefner. He is survived by: his wife Donna Downs Hefner; his daughters, Angelina "Angel" Parker (Stephen) of Maiden and Stephanie Leigh Hefner of Albuquerque, NM; his stepchildren, Timothy Dustin McGuire (Kayla) of Hickory and Mindy Blackwell (Michael) of Dallas, TX.; and his grandchildren, Whitney Williams (Jeffrey), Mercedes Hyder, Grace Parker, Gabby Parker, Reagan Hyder, Katelynn McGuire, Addison Blackwell, Madison McGuire, Maddie McGuire, Archer Blackwell, Paisley McGuire, Beck McGuire, Breanna McGuire and Anderson McGuire.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Oxford Baptist Church (5965 Springs Rd, Conover, NC 28613). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
