He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Settlemyre and Geanette Settlemyre; his son Daniel Jefferson Settlemyre Jr.; his sister Gwendolyn Lackey; and his grandsons, Jamie Hart and Philip Hart.
He is survived by: his wife Andris Settlemyre; his daughters, Malinda Settlemyre Day (Danny) of Connelly Springs and Dana Johnson (Anthony) of Newton; his sister Jeanette Bost (Dale) of Little Switzerland; his grandchildren, Andrea Johnson (Loi Rathsamy), Felicia Johnson (TJ Ramseur), Laura Young (Blake) and Cory Day; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Reece, Clara Young, Adam Young and Lorain Rathsamy.
The family will have a Celebration of Life once the restrictions of COVID-19 are lifted.
