He was predeceased by: his parents, Dallas T. Carowan, Sr. and Ethel Midyette Carowan; his wife Gloria Carowan (Smith); and his siblings, Alene Morgan, Iola Gaylord and Raeford Carrowan.
He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey P. Carowan (Jenni), Elizabeth Raines and DeAnne Filiatreault (James); his sister Barbara Klepsig; and his grandchildren, Hayley, Andy, Austin, Sam, Willis and Lucy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
