It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daisy Edwards Cooper Peterson of Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Moses Edwards and Geniva Lee Peterson; her brothers, Glenn Cooper and Calvin Cooper; and her half-brother JD Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, Sheila Peterson of Claremont, NC, Roger Peterson (Tatyana) of Conover, NC and Richie Peterson (Pamela) of Hickory, NC; her grandchildren, Brandon Lee Earls of Claremont, Derrick Graham Earls of Hickory and Kourtney Blair Peterson of Asheville; her siblings, Walter Cooper (Peggie) of Cherryville, NC, Rettie Edwards Thompson, Flora Cooper Briggs, Mary Edwards Edwards, Volena Cooper Brittain and Linda Cooper Brown (Mickey); and her half-siblings, Sherrill Edwards, Donnie Edwards, Elvis Edwards, Danny Edwards, Randy Edwards, Carolyn E. Edwards, Paulette Edwards Barnett and Treva Edwards Peterson.
