He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Viola McMahan Hooper and Clemmie Buren Hooper, Sr.; his wife Sandra Kern Hooper; and his siblings, Kathleen Stout, Bernice Adams, Sue Cagle, Betty Stanley, Jo Stone, Jessie Phillips and Edward L. Hooper.
He is survived by: his brother Michael Hooper (Karen) of Canton; his sister-in-law Carolyn Teague Hooper of Gastonia, NC; his children, C. B. Hooper, III and Allison Hooper Jordan; his grandchildren, Christian Vickers, Elizabeth Litton, Cheyenne Pledger, Robert Michael Hater and Superman; and also, Verlin, Johnny, Christy, Earnest and Mary.
