We are sad to announce that on June 8, 2023, at the age of 74, Claudia Punch Deal (Newton, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Punch and Sue Punch. She is survived by: her husband Ray Deal; her son Christopher; her daughter-in-law Caroline McGee; her granddaughters, Molly and Hollis McGee of Cary, NC; her sister Cathy; her brother-in-law Bob Choppa of Conover, NC; and her niece Ellie Choppa of Raleigh, NC.

In lieu of flowers and because of her love for children and animals, memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-3678 and/or "Laps and Naps Home For Senior Cats" 151 Hwy 9, Ste B #167, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
