He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie "Bea" Simmons; his parents, Clyde Emory and Beulah Mae Lutz Simmons; and his siblings, Joe Simmons, Ruby Nell Anthony and Dorthy Mae Simmons.
He is survived by: his daughter Robin Claudette Simmons Caldwell (Kevin) of Newton; and his grandchildren, Tori Goodmon (Joshua) of Kernersville and Kelsey Caldwell of Kernersville.
