He is survived by: his wife Ola Beatty; his children, Vicky Matthews (Willie) of Charlotte, N. C., Cathy Edwards of Charlotte, N. C., Charles Beatty, Jr. of Lenoir, N. C., Lola Beatty of Catawba, N. C. and Beverly Springs (Thad) of Catawba, N. C.; his siblings, Gladys Hall, Bernice Wilkes of Charlotte, N. C. and Bill "Skip" Beatty (Berdie) of Newton, N. C.; and his goddaughter Lynda Lawrence (Reid) of Winston-Salem, N. C.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and friends.
