It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Anthony Hearne Sr. of Newton, North Carolina, who passed away on July 11, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Wilson and Lillian Ingram Hearne; his son Charles "Chip" Anthony Hearne Jr.; and his brother Ronnie Hearne. He is survived by: his wife Debra McKay Hearne; his children, Oren Jason "O. J.", Lisa Phillips (Tommy) and Karen Underwood (Kevin); his siblings, Freddie Hearne (Mary), John Hearne (Bernadette), Patricia Harris (Charles) of Fayetteville and Lucky Lee (Homer) of Burgaw, NC; his sister-in-law Donna Hearne of Waxhaw, NC; his grandchildren, Ayvah Hearne, Bailee Lail, Preston Lail, Easton Coady, Lindsey Barnes (Tyler), Brooklyn Timmons (Justin) and Brandon Underwood (Fran Suastegui); his great grandchild Ellie Mae Timmons; and his friend Catalino Campuzano. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
