He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Byers and Annie Byers; his son Jason Byers; and his wife Patsy Byers. He is survived by: his children, David Laastad (Sherri) of Connelly Springs, Cecil Byers, Jr. (Angie) of Conover, Jeremy Byers of Conover, Katherine Glazebrooks (Timothy) of Connelly Springs and Jacqueline Apostale of Newton; and his brothers, Melvin Richard Byers (Tina) of Putnam County, Kevin Byers (Miranda) of Putnam County and Jamie Byers (Carolyn) of Putnam County. He is also survived by twenty-nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
