He was predeceased by: his parents, William Randolph Kelly, Sr. and Gladys Lexie Watson Kelly; his wife Catherine Kelly; and his siblings, William Randolph Kelly, Jr., Marcheta Wheeler, Cherry Belle Kelly and Patty Maureen Batt.

He is survived by: his children, Carvin Franklin Hefner Jr. of Rhodhiss, Kenneth Dewayne Kelly (Debbie) of Rhodhiss, Dorothy Jeanette Barnes (Dustin Stephens) of Rhodhiss, Nickcole Kristine Maynard-Errami (Moe) of Virginia and Apryl-Jordan Hollar (Noah) of Newton; his sisters, Francine Kelly Clarke (Jim) of Cornelius and Lisa Kelly Gragg (Ed Mauney) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Casey Hefner, Chelsey Hefner, Michael Thomas, Sara Harris, FaTima-Grace Errami, Zack Crawford, Amira Errami, Linda Sue Crawford, Ryder Errami, Keeslar Errami and Jedidiah Hollar; and his great grandchild Baylee Hefner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
