It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Yount Lutz of Newton, North Carolina, born in Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on August 12, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Russell Yount and Mildred Anderson Yount; her former husband Lutz, Jr.; her daughter Callie Sigmon; her sister Joyce Lyon; and her grandsons, Alan Bowman and Benjamin Sigmon.
She is survived by: her husband W. R.; her children, Rusty Lutz (Cindy), Beth Bowman (Larry), Dale Lutz, Jan Sorrells (Danny) and Todd Lutz (Diane); her son-in-law Kenny Sigmon; and her sister Mildred Glickman (Mickey). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.
