He was predeceased by: his parents, James Elbert Rippy Sr. and Lillie Mae Ikard Rippy; his daughter Denise Rippy; and his brothers, James E. Rippy Jr., Eugene Rippy and Bill Rippy.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Kay Rippy; his children, Robert Z. Rippy (Jessica) of Concord, Aaron F. Rippy Sr. of Newton and Leslie R. Wilson; his grandchildren, Madison, Aaron Jr., Faith, Charity, A'Myah, Emmanuel, Jeremiah and Serenity; his great grandchild Ty'Leahiona; and his brother Kenneth Rippy (Mary F.) of Winston-Salem.
