We are sad to announce that on August 28, 2021, at the age of 85, Billy Ray Black of Newton, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kermit Roosevelt Black and Edna Pauline Sigmon Black; his wife Patsy Jane Hollar Black; his children, Kevin Ray Black (Lisa) of Newton and Karen Elaine Moss (Patrick) of Newton; his sister Libby Black Deal of Newton; his granddaughter Kaitlyn Elaine Moss (David McMillan); his stepgrandchildren, Catherine, Thomas and Stephen; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Micah, Adyson, Hayden, Tatum and Paxton.
