With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Pauline Kerley Couch of Newton, North Carolina, born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on October 1, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Leonard Kerley and Bertha Lael Kerley; her former husband Charlie Hefner; her son Jeffery Alan Hefner, Sr.; and her siblings, Leonard Kerley, Cecil Kerley, George Kerley, Robena Moser and Josephine Rowe.
She is survived by: her husband Linville Couch; her daughter Anita Huffman (Bill) of Conover; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Hefner, Jr. (Jennifer) of Newton, Crystal Hefner (Shannon Grindstaff) of Conover and Laura Hefner of Conover; her great grandchildren, Matthew Hefner, Levi Hefner and J. T. Igims; and her daughter-in-law Barbara Hefner.
