It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Brown (Newton, North Carolina), who passed away on January 7, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Brenard Gaston Brown; her parents, Zelmer Braxton and Callie Elizabeth Hartsell Earley; and her children, Lynn Brown of Newton, Scott Brown (Sally Brown) of Greenville, SC and Leslie Bunny Brown (Allison McCall) of Hickory. She was also cherished by 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
