She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gilbert and Mary Anna Galloway Cook; and her daughters, Susan Helms Kovalik and Karen Helms Hall. She is survived by: her children, Rick Helms (Shelia) of Claremont, Steve Helms of Newton, Mark Helms of Newton and Kim Prather of Newton. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.
