It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Jones Lineberger of Newton, North Carolina, born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on September 8, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Louella Jones and Arthur Mayes; her husband Gaither Roosevelt Lineberger; and her brother Danny Jones. She is survived by: her son Gary Lineberger (Chuck); her daughter-in-law Linda Farrer Lineberger of Conover, N. C.; her sister Catherine Shuford of Taylorsville, N. C.; her grandchildren, Lamar Lineberger of Taylorsville, N. C. and Alexis Lineberger of Hickory, N. C; and her close friend Robert James of Newton. She is also survived by Three great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
