She was predeceased by: her parents, Clement Giroux and Isabelle Dennett Giroux; her former husband Robert Holmes; her husband Jerry Farley; and her brothers, David, Fred and Bill.

She is survived by: her sons, Bob Holmes of Lenoir, Bill Holmes (Lynn) of Morganton and Joe Holmes; her grandchild Conover; her daughters, Vickie Holmes of Newton, Beverly Lowe (Nelson) of Maiden and Martha Holmes of Hildebran; and her uncle Walt S. Dennett of South Dakota. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins.
