She was predeceased by: her parents, Harley Harris and Vera Rae Booker Harris; her children, Donnie Thompson, Patricia Taylor and Norma Jean Thompson; and her sister Betty Joe Spears.

She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Johnson (David) of Newton and Betty Thompson of Hickory; and her siblings, Junior Harris (Priscilla) of Florida, Tony Harris (Pat) of Florida, Ricky Harris (Kathy) of Florida, Barbara Hudson (Bunk) and Judy Huntsinger of Fletcher, NC.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
