With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Albert Cowles Gaither (Newton, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on November 20, 2019 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cowles Gaither and Allie Comer Gaither; his granddaughter Cora Gaither Shook; and his brother Dr. James C. Gaither. He is survived by: his wife Ann Heafner Gaither of Newton, NC; his children, Bill Gaither (Kate) of Cornelius, NC, Susan Gaither Jones (Thomas) of Newton, NC, Lawson Gaither of Hickory, NC and Comer Gaither (Elizabeth) of Charlottesville, VA; his grandchildren, Summer Gaither Willer, Allie Jones Reed, John Jones, Christopher Gaither, Cowles Gaither and Alexander Gaither; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey Shook, Jackson Willer, Owen Willer and Charlotte Willer.
