He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kermit and Mary Beasley Stanley; and his brothers, Earl, Buck, Ray, Tommy and Dennis.
He is survived by: his close friend Mary Godwin Britt; his children, Heather Lockamy (Bobby Joe) of Clinton, Christina Corbett (Steven) of Newton Grove and Allen Britt (Brittney) of Newton Grove; his grandchildren, Alexia (Lexi), Taylor Lockamy, Miles, Sadie, Stevie Corbett and Callen Britt; and his siblings, Jay Stanley of Four Oaks, Sue Fortner, Margie Hill and Marcia E. Smith (Wayne Stanley).
