Larry B. Powell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry B. Powell (Newton Grove, North Carolina), born in Gastonia, North Carolina, who passed away on January 10, 2006, at the age of 62.
He married Mary Hamilton Powell and they lived together in Newton Grove, North Carolina. Together they raised 2 children Jeff Powell (Rhonda Powell), Richard Powell (Traci Powell). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren Micayla Hunt (Corbin Hunt), Daniel Powell (Emily Powell), Tyler Powell (Brittney Powell), Meaghan Powell, and Kellie Powell. Larry worked at Dorothea Dix Hosp. in the mid 1960s; later NC Prison Dept and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people and had an amazing sense of humor.
A burial was held on Friday, January 13th 2006 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Hillcrest Cemetery (Hobbton Highway, Newton Grove, North Carolina 28366).
