He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Blackman and Almeta Blackman; and his siblings, Julia Thornton, Sarah Raynor, Pearlie Dunn, Sandy, Donald and Robert Blackman.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Blackman (Jernigan); his siblings, Charlie Blackman (Nancy) and Janice Keen (Sherrol); his children, Tracy Jordan and Michael Blackman (Julie); his grandchildren, Hannah, Michaela, Allie, Johnna, Jackson and Jenna; his great grandchildren, Trooper, Emmylou, Samuel and Haley; and also Kristy Jackson.
