He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry Thornton and Virginia Thornton; and his brother H. A. Thornton. He is survived by : his sons, Ricky Allen Thornton of Newton Grove and Timothy Neil Thornton and James Allen Thornton (Cindy Thornton). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
