As James departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy James leaves behind.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Horace Cox and Mildred Cox Sutton; his daughter Chelsey Cox (Thomas Cashwell) of Fayetteville; his siblings, Donna Cox Hood (Ronald) of Grantham, Connie Lane (Stevie) of Mt. Olive and Perry Bizzell Sutton (Tammy) of Suttontown; his stepgranddaughter Kaylyn Blythe (Joseph) of Panama City; his pet Drako; and his close friend Deep Creek Outfitters.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Hillcrest Cemetery (16100 Hobbton Hwy, Newton Grove, NC 28366).
In lieu of flowers, contributions to Dunn Funeral Home to offset funeral costs are welcome.
