He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lucas Herring of Newton Grove; his children, Stephanie Lynn Baker (Daniel) of Four Oaks and Scotty Edward Herring (Ashley) of Benson; his grandchildren, Ryan Scott Herring, Casey Bret Baker and Cody Bryson Baker; his great grandchild Hadley Marie Perez; and his brothers, Carl Wayne Herring, Mike Herring, Danny Ray Herring and Larry Mack Herring.
