With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Eva Barwick Joyner of Newton Grove, North Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie William and Ruth Ellen Mozingo Barwick; her daughter Cindy McKinney; and her siblings, Betty Lou Watson, Wilma Rae Kohnen and Arnold Barwick.
She is survived by: her significant other Roy Eugene "Gene" Joyner; her daughters, Jo Ellen Ward of Spring Lake, NC, Terry Pilotte (Don) of Bozeman, Montana and Robin Powell (Randy) of Four Oaks; her son-in-law George McKinney of Vass; her grandchildren, Michael Ward (Karen), Christy Baxley (Lance Bullard), Daven Forrest (Mike), Cory McKinney, Justin Powell (Melissa), Casey Pilotte, Sarah Schmidt (Michael Roll) and Joey Powell; and her brothers, Charles Barwick (Faye) of Angier and Johnny Barwick (Bonnie) of Kenly. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home Inc. (301 W Main St, Benson, NC 27504). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Wayne Memorial Park (2925 US-117 a, Dudley, NC 28333).
