He was predeceased by: his parents, Mildred Tripp and Brock Tripp; and his niece Shannon Chapman. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Tripp; his sister Ida Chapman; his daughters, Angela Easter (Johnny Helms) and Rebecca Easter (Tim Davis); and his close friend Lester Craig Cannon.
