He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Cortney Leggett (Jeffrey) of Wake Forest, NC and Sam Slater of Newport, NC; his parents, William Slater and Peggy Slater of Virginia Beach, VA; his sister Susan Pitcher (Chandler) of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandchildren, Brayden Leggett, Dylan Leggett and Lillian Leggett; and his friend Angel Adams.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 513 Evans St, Morehead City, NC 28557.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
