It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wanda Taylor of Newport, North Carolina, who passed away on December 21, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Combs and Eunice Combs (Miller); her husband Nathan Taylor; her children, Michael (Holmes) and Brenda (Blevins); and her brothers, Robert, William and Ray Combs.
She is survived by: her sister Eva Broshear; her son Timothy Taylor Newport (Loretta); her grandchildren, Amanda Hansley, Lauren Moody Newport (Jonathan), Brandon Hansley (David Blevins), Micheal Jr., George, Howard and Tonya Holmes of Rhode Island; and her sisters, Wilma Jean and Lula Bell Hardy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Munden Funeral Home (700 NC-24, Newport, NC 28570). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Broad Creek Community Cemetery (2733 NC-24, Newport, NC 28570).
