He was predeceased by: his mother Doris Marshburn Rumberg of Jacksonville, NC; his stepfather Jerry Mooney Rumberg; his brother Aleck Lee Barnard; and his granddaughter Siddalee Rain Plunkett. He is survived by: his father Norman Aleck Barnard; his wife Kathi Reed Barnard; his sons, Joseph Reed Barnard (Dana Blakemore) of New Bern, NC and William "Billy" Patrick Barnard (Mandy Elizabeth) of Newport; his siblings, Norma Ellen Popwell (Raymond) of Richlands, NC, Pamela Suzanne Baker (Jimmy) of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Lori Ann Floyd (Johnny) of Jacksonville, NC and Craig Edward Barnard (Tracy) of Jacksonville, NC; his grandchildren, Layla Breeze Barnard, Ember Willow Barnard, Drake Kane Barnard and Ellie Blakemore; and his pet Lilybelle.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Munden Funeral Home & Crematory (2112 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
