With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jennie Mae Cannon Slocomb of Newport, North Carolina, born in Halifax, North Carolina, who passed away on January 5, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Cannon and Verna Cannon; her husband Robert Slocomb; her daughter Sherry Marino; and her siblings, Irma Peterson, Douglas Cannon, Joel Cannon and Benjamin Cannon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tina Davis (Dennis) of New Bern and Jeannie Reynolds (Rodney) of Newport; and her siblings, Nellie Crostic of New Bern and Billy Cannon (Janie) of Beaufort.
