With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Robert Perkins of Newport, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 22, 2025 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint James Robert leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Perkins and Margaret Perkins (Singley); and his former wives, Debra Perkins and Theresa Perkins. He is survived by: his wife Chris Perkins of Newport, NC; his daughter Amanda Teel (Jason Teel); his grandsons, Ian of Peoria, Arizona and Jackson of Peoria, Arizona; and his sister Paulette Fitcher of Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jim's honor to a charity of your choice or a Veterans' Organization.
