It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Earl Sides of Newport, North Carolina, born in Beaufort, North Carolina, who passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Sides and Mary Sides; his wife Nancy Jeanette Sides; and his siblings, James Henry Daniels, James Allen Daniels, Frank Allen Sides and Evelyn Daniels.
He is survived by: his pets, Float and Pirate Ship; his daughters, Susan A. Sides of Newport, NC and Frankie Sides (Joel Hales) of New Bern, NC; his brothers, Elton Noe Daniels (Jackie) of Raleigh, NC and McDonald H. Daniels Jr. of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Edward Sides and Victoria Sides.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Munden Funeral Home & Crematory (2112 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557).
