She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy "Dot" West and Dorval Wayne West Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Ashley Simmons Petschauer (Matthew); her grandchildren, Jonathan West and Addison Olivia; and her siblings, Evelyn Eidell, Judy Linebarger (Jerry) and Wayne West III (Marianne). She is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews.
So her generous spirit will continue to make a difference in the lives of others, in lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the Dottie West Simmons Scholarship at Carteret Community College, 3505 Arendell St., Morehead City, NC 28557.
