He was predeceased by: his father Arthur P. Johnson. He is survived by: his mother Paula Miller Johnson Ramsey (Tom) of Newport; his wife Melissa Hughes Johnson; his daughter Peyton Taylor Johnson of Newport; his sister Deanna Windham (Harold) of Newport; his parents-in-law, Walter and Linda Hughes of Newport; his sister-in-law Angela Hughes of Newport; his nieces and nephews, Douglas Windham (Danielle) of Newport, Sara Terry (Garland) of Lenoir, Alana and Brantley Windham; and his pet Luke.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Munden Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. (2112 Arendell St, Morehead City, NC 28557). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. James United Methodist Church (1011 Orange St, Newport, NC 28570). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at the David B. Garner Cemetery.
