With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Hughes of Newland, North Carolina, who passed away on October 28, 2022 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Herman Hughes and Jody McKinney Hughes; and his sister Patsy Lou Hughes. He is survived by: his daughters, Sharon Pitts (Darrell) of Plumtree, NC and Shirley Crudup (Ed) of Madison, NC; his nephew Bryan Hughes of Jerry's Creek, NC; his grandson Brandon James Pitts of Plumtree, NC.; and his friends, Wayne, Nicole, Penny and Gail of Medi.
