He is survived by: his mother Linda Gray Nelson of Newland; his wife Cindy Puckett Nelson; his children, Sierra Faulkner (Gabriel) of Newland, NC, Brent Nelson of San Antonio, TX and Carter Nelson of Newland, NC; his brother Mike Nelson (Jackie) of Newland, NC; and his grandchildren, Gideon Faulkner and Paislie Faulkner.
