With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Brockwell Fields of Newland, North Carolina, who passed away on January 13, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Brockwell and Arlie Brockwell Oaks; and her husband Ted Fields. She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa McGuire of Roan Mountain, Jerri McKinney (Keith) of Roan Mountain and Letha Hughes (Jerry) of Newland; her grandchildren, Jennifer Walsh (Joe), Jessica Buchanan (Patrick), Matthew McKinney, Mark McKinney, Sabrina Bowman (Robby Byrd) and Tabatha Honeycutt (Stacy); her great grandchildren, Tylie, Owen, Nate, Jaslyn and Scarlett; and her sisters, Lynette Sparks (Skip) of Morganton, Suzette Ward (Larry) of Hickory and Debbie Barlow (Amberse) of Marion. She is also survived by her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
